my friends at the look partnership did little doe's latest look book and my silver lake neighbor, neal, is one of the little doe models. oh and major hearts for little doe designer chase cohl.

brussel sprouts... cream-braised

my friend heather made this dish last year at a thanksgiving dinner and it was so delicious! i finally had a chance to make it this week. it's so simple and yummy! jonah broiled salmon to accompany the rich and creamy sprouts... a simple fall dinner.

pot pie fun!

last thursday jonah and i made mushroom pot pies with gouda biscuit topping. they were fun and satisfying to make! one of the fun things about making these pot pies was getting to buy oven safe bowls. i can't wait to use them to make french onion soup!
i made the filling the night before and jonah made the biscuit topping just before placing them in the oven which gave us time to enjoy manhattans with our friends while they baked!

a candlelit setting always helps create a cozy supper!
recipe is here. this recipe was good (not amzing though). i want to try a chicken pot pie next time!

catching up! honeymoon: hotel

time has flown by since our big wedding day in june! and maybe it's safe to say i'm back to posting? well, i will try! and i will catch up starting with a cute hotel that we stayed at on our last few days of our honeymoon in rome.we stayed at the hotel gregoriana on our few days of our italy trip. it was a sweet surprise when we arrived and our room wasn't ready and we ended up in the penthouse. and it was charmingly pink and green with old world details and modern accents!

one of many little projects on my to do list crossed off! yay...
our cook books will no longer take over our little bar thanks to dwr's sapien bookcase. i just ordered this vertical bookcase that will fit perfectly in the kitchen and our bar can really be a bar!

just married... a few weeks ago!

it has been a whirlwind of an amazing adventure... begining with the big wedding day on june 5th, followed by an amazing 10 days in italy! so happy to finally be married to my dear jonah and so thankful that we were able to share the special moment with our families and closest friends... we love you all!!i am going to start posting all the tid-bits from before, during and after the big day!
